Corroded 286 Part 2. Can I fix the CMOS backup and Floppy Drive DMA problems ?

#retro #dosgames #repair Following on from Ep 1 when I managed to get this MG Headland 286 motherboard to post I continue with the repairs and work on the Keyboard circuit before a lot more testing and some very interesting problems. Without sound Wolf3d will run for hours with no faults, but once installed a sound card and use DMA it started to get buggy and eventually crash, on top of this no digital sounds worked in any game or in the sound card test programs so the DMA is not limited to Floppy access.
