Radical Sankofa: Collective Care Lessons Rooted in Black History
This workshop with Tyasha/Ty (teamwithty.com/Tyasha/Ty) explores lessons from more than 50 years of grassroots organizing by Black Feminists, Abolitionists, and Anarchists across Turtle Island and beyond. Drawing from the Break the System Archive (breakthesystem.xyz), participants are guided through histories of Black-led movements and connected to todayβs organizing with the Free4ALL mutual aid network in Connecticut. The session highlights what has worked, what hasnβt, and emerging ways of practicing sustainable, anti-carceral care for collective liberation. After a 30β35 minute workshop, the discussion opens for Q+A. About the speakers and projects: Tyasha/Ty is a liberation artist, radical archivist, researcher, and caretaker of Break the System Archive.
