Anarcho folk festivals: who, what, when, where, how, and why

Over the last ten years or so, there have been a number of anarcho folk festivals in Scotland, Ireland, England, the Netherlands and Poland. These are one-day or weekend festivals celebrating DIY culture, music, radical and original folk-song and music, food, conversation and radical politics. James Bowen is one of the organisers of the Scottish Anarcho folk fest, as well as an original radical singer/songwriter. This short presentation looks at what an anarcho folk festival is, what we mean by anarcho folk, and what are some of the practical problems and solutions necessary to address if you want to put on one of these events yourself.
