Alongside pensioners groups, disabled campaigners, and others on the frontline of fuel poverty, they are using protest and direct action to fight for real solutions to the cold homes crisis. They take action for warm, well-insulated homes and clean and affordable energy, under the control of people and communities, not private companies. As we move into the long cold winter with so many people hit by loss of income, working from home and the closure of many social centres and public services that used to offer people a respite from their cold homes due to the pandemic, campaigns such as these become even more essential.
