You can have the hamster and eat it

You can interact with objects inside the microwave while the microwave is on. You can use this glitch to save the hamster while still getting the exploded hamster. Don't try this at home, though! You can even give both the hamster and the exploded hamster to Ed. I'd make a Schrodinger's hamster joke here, but you might have already come up with a better one ;). Saving the hamster isn't useful for speedrunning, but it might make you feel less guilty if you meet Ed in Day of the Tentacle :).
