Understanding and Troubleshooting DNS in Active Directory
Microsoft has integrated DNS into Active Directory and in turn, AD depends on DNS. We will look at this interdependence but focus on DNS. We will look at troubleshooting DNS using Windows utilities and PowerShell. We will explore how AD zones are stored in DNS and what they mean. We look at recursive resolvers, stub resolvers, forwarders, delegation, subdomain, glue records, and a review of the dcdiag.exe for troubleshooting DNS. We will explore DNS benchmarking.
