BBC forced into apology over its Holocaust Memorial Day coverage

The BBC has been forced into an apology after its coverage of Holocaust Memorial Day omitted the word 'Jews' on several occasions. The corporation appeared to be avoiding the term as it reflected on the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp on Tuesday, with at least four BBC News presenters opting to say six million 'people' died in the World War Two genocide.
