The presenter confirmed he'd been sidelined with the irritation, detectable through watery eyes, sticky discharge and crusty eyelids, while recording his latest Hanging Out podcast with Declan Donnelly on Thursday. Sharing a photo of the affected eye with Donnelly and their production team, McPartlin, 50, admitted he looked like he'd taken a punch to the face.
