Lake Tahoe avalanche survivors used iPhone SOS to guide rescuers.

California's Nevada County Sheriff's office held a news briefing following the avalanche in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Sheriff, Shannon Moon, shares that IPhone SOS feature and beacons was used to locate survivors of the avalanche. Chief Law Enforcement, Don O'Keefe, explains that SOS features and text messaging allowed rescuers to find survivors.
