Armed police respond to 'stabbing' outside Birmingham school

Armed police flooded a street in Birmingham today following a stabbing outside a primary school. A major emergency service presence remains at the scene in the Alum Rock area of the city and the school has been placed into lockdown. Multiple ambulances and an air ambulance was in attendance. West Midlands Police said officers were called at 12.06pm after reports a man had been seriously injured. A 32-year-old man was arrested and is in police custody. A woman also sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening or changing.
