Family of psychologist missing for a week plead for her to come home

The family of a Brazilian psychologist who went missing a week ago have pleaded for her to come home - as her tote bag is found abandoned near a boatyard where CCTV shows her leaping over a fence. Vitoria Figueiredo Barreto, 30, was in the UK visiting her friend Liliane Silva and staying at her home in Southend, Essex, when she went missing on March 3. Vitoria had been helping Ms Silva, a PhD student and lecturer in clinical psychology at the University of Essex, with a written project about Brazilian healthcare and mental health support in the UK at the Colchester campus before the pair parted ways at around 1pm.
