Blake Fielder-Civil says he's 'not responsible' for Amy Winehouse's death
The former husband of tragic pop icon Amy Winehouse says he's not responsible for her untimely death - despite conceding he had a 'part to play' in her desperate battle with drug addiction. Winehouse had been in and out of treatment for drug and alcohol dependency and struggled with alcohol withdrawal and anxiety before she was found dead at her Camden home in 2011, aged just 27. Two inquests determined the singer's blood-alcohol content was five times over the legal drink-drive limit, with her cause of death subsequently recorded as accidental by way of alcohol poisoning. Addressing the tragedy during the latest instalment of Paul C. Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, Blake Fielder-Civil, 43, refuted the firmly held belief that Winehouse's battle with substance and alcohol abuse began when they embarked on a relationship.
