Manowar guitarist Ross 'the Boss' Friedman dead at 72 after ALS diagnosis

Iconic rock guitarist Ross Friedman, known to fans as 'Ross the Boss,' has died at the age of 72 weeks after his diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Friedman shatteringly revealed last month that he had been diagnosed with ALS, which is colloquially known as Lou Gehrig's disease. It was announced Friday that Friedman had succumbed to the illness the previous night, via a statement posted to his official Instagram page.
