Artemis crew sends Easter greetings to Earth as they enter fifth day of mission
The crew of the Artemis II mission sent Easter greetings to Earth on Sunday (April 5) as they entered the fifth day of their mission. Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen spoke about the Easter holiday, as Koch said the crew even hid space-appropriate Easter eggs around the spacecraft. According to NASA, on Sunday, the astronauts will conduct a full sequence of suit operations, including putting on and pressurising their suits, performing leak checks, simulating seat entry, and assessing mobility and their ability to eat and drink. The suits are designed to protect astronauts during dynamic phases of flight, provide life support in the event of cabin depressurisation, and support survival operations after splashdown, NASA said.
