Tajikistan national is found guilty of sexual assault of girl on train

A Tajikistan national has been found guilty of the attempted rape and sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl after he tried to chat to her on a train using a translator app. Abdulmanon Aliev, 50, approached the child on the train from Southend, Essex, to London on June 16 last year, jurors heard. During the journey, Aliev sat opposite the girl and attempted to use a translator app on his phone to speak to her. She moved away from him to sit elsewhere, but he followed and sat next to her in an aisle seat, blocking her in by the window.
