Artemis II crew safely recovered from the Orion capsule in the Pacific Ocean

Fast boats and Navy divers moved in to recover the Artemis II astronauts after splashdown. Recovery teams were ready off Southern California to retrieve the crew, and the operation was expected to take about an hour with support from NASA and the US Navy. Artemis II spent nearly 10 days in space, marking the first crewed Moon mission in over 50 years.
