Two teens die after car plunges from bridge and crashes into minibus on motorway

Two teenagers have died after a car plunged from a bridge and fell onto a minibus on the M1.The pair, who have not been named, were travelling in a blue car along Gilmorton Lane, towards Lutterworth, Leicestershire, when the vehicle careered off a bridge and collided with a white Fiat Ducato travelling southbound towards Junction 20.Emergency services were alerted at 1.33pm on Friday and rushed to the scene, but the two teenagers were sadly declared dead.Four people who were travelling in the white minibus were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The male driver was discharged, while three women remain in hospital.The M1 was shut overnight, with police warning the carriageway was 'likely to remain closed for a number of hours'.Aerial images showed the devastation after the incident, with debris strewn across the road and long queues with all traffic stationary.The road was reopened in both directions shortly after 2am.
