A former boxer who murdered a retired postmistress before evading justice for 12 years boasted about being nicknamed 'The Shovel' while in his police cell.David Newton, 71, was jailed for at least 21 years in February 2025 for murdering Una Crown after DNA which matched his profile was found on her nail clippings.
