This is the moment a middle-aged woman steals a pub's wooden monkey as the outraged landlady at the popular drinking spot issues an appeal for its safe returnLesley Wood, the landlady at the Shoulder of Mutton pub in Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, discovered one of her monkey statues - which are dotted around the public house - was missing on Sunday morning.After checking the CCTV Ms Wood discovered that her ornamental primate had been 'brazenly' stolen by a female customer the evening before.In the footage the woman gingerly picks up the monkey before she places it back down on the windowsill.But after her moment of hesitation, and with new found confidence, she swipes the statue and marches out of the pub with the monkey in hand.
