Armed officer punched at airport 'feared losing his Glock pistol'

An armed police officer feared for his life and his weapon as he was repeatedly punched during a violent airport arrest, a court has heard. PC Zachary Marsden told a jury he was in 'constant fear' that his Glock pistol could be taken while trying to detain a suspect at Manchester Airport in July 2024. The incident, now the subject of a retrial, saw two Rochdale brothers alleged to have assaulted Marsden, after one had already attacked two other officers.
