Holidaymakers queue for more than four hours in high heat at Dover

Thousands of holidaymakers faced massive delays at the Port of Dover and Folkestone. Drivers were stuck in traffic for up to four hours in temperatures above 30ºC. New EU border checks and passport controls caused major disruption during the Bank Holiday weekend. French authorities have yet to activate the biometric machines at Dover, causing even longer delays.
