The new tracks were discovered in 2023 at Dewars Farm quarry in Oxfordshire by a quarry worker. The tracks occur in the base of an active working quarry in limestone dating to 166 million years ago, in the Middle Jurassic Period. This is the most important discovery of dinosaur tracks in the UK for more than 25 years.
