Warning for Cornwall beaches as hemlock water dropwort roots poisons dogs

Dog owners in north Cornwall are warned to avoid certain beaches after reports of pets falling seriously ill and dying from ingesting hemlock water dropwort roots. The roots, resembling turnips, contain toxins similar to the poison.
