Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was put on the spot by President Trump during his conference at a Michigan Air Base in Macomb County. The governor and president teamed up to 'save' Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Whitmer was in DC earlier this year to speak to the president about the cause, asking him for new fighter jets.
