Birmingham City Council needs to "come to its senses", Unite general secretary Sharon Graham has said as fresh talks aimed at resolving an all-out strike of bin workers got under way.Ms Graham is leading the union's negotiating team as talks under the auspices of the conciliation service Acas went ahead in the city on Thursday, seven weeks after bin workers walked out indefinitely over the council's plans to delete the role of waste recycling and collection officer.
