Black smoke signalled by Vatican as wait for new Pope enters second day

The wait for a new pope in the Vatican continues after black smoke signalled cardinals have failed to elect a successor following the second and third rounds of voting. Cardinals will hold two further votes this afternoon after returning to the Sistine Chapel this morning for the second day of conclave.
