Diddy and Ventura had been staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles when she tried to escape after yet another 'freak off'. He chased her in his towel, beat her in the hallway, and dragged her back to their suite. The full video emerged at the rapper's sex trafficking trial in New York City on May 13th, 2025. Prosecutors say it shows the hold he had over Ventura, and how she feared for her life. Diddy's team has never denied the contents of the video. They say it clearly shows him abusing Cassie, but that he is not on trial for domestic violence. The footage first became public in 2024. It was, in many ways, the catalyst for the rapper's downfall. He was arrested by federal authorities months later. Ventura, who was among the first witnesses at his trial, says it finally proves her story that she was abused.
