Police arrest man for beating 86-year-old pensioner to death with an umbrella

David Parish, of no fixed address, appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Friday and was handed a six-year custodial sentence after he pleaded guilty in January to the manslaughter of 86-year-old Beryl Purdy by diminished responsibility.
