Yvette Cooper highlights lack of confidence in immigration system

Yvette Cooper likens immigration system to a 'free market experiment'. The Home Secretary has admitted there is 'an issue with confidence in the immigration system and frankly, quite understandably.' It comes as more than 1,100 migrants arrived in the UK after crossing the English Channel on Saturday, the highest number recorded so far in 2025.
