Jo Cruse: Daily Mail's Inspirational Women Award winner

Giving birth for the first time left Jo Cruse deeply traumatised. During a 36-hour labour in which she wasn't listened to by midwives and denied pain relief, she sustained injuries that left her with bladder issues to this day, three years on.In May 2024, Jo launched Delivering Better, a campaign group calling for greater continuity of care throughout pregnancy and after birth. Jo - whose marriage sadly ended in the wake of her birth experience - now devotes herself to the campaign group along with being a full-time working mum.
