Scientists detect deep Earth pulses beneath Africa's Ethiopia

Scientists say a massive crack has started ripping through Africa, from the north east to the south. As a result, eastern Africa will have its own coastline and will be separated from the rest of the continent. The researchers uncovered evidence of rhythmic surges of molten rock rising from deep within the Earth's surface, beneath Ethiopia.
