Bomb squad and counter-terror cops swoop on village pub as police shoot man

A man was shot by cops as a bomb squad and counter-terror officers swooped on a village pub last night. A 100-metre cordon was put in place near the Park Gate Inn in Hollingbourne, Kent, after police were called to the scene at around 9pm on Monday. Members of the public were advised to leave the area - with a significant police presence remaining through the night, according to locals.
