It's one of the ultimate timesaving kitchen appliances, removing the mundane moments of standing at a sink washing dishes after every meal. In 2018 figures showed around half of UK households (49per cent) owned a dishwasher, surging from 18per cent in 1994, and it's possible even more of us do now. From premium big-name brands to supermarket own-brand offerings, or eco versions, there's plenty to choose from.
