Europe has been rocked by yet more wild weather extremes with 'firenados' erupting in Portugal and waterspouts leaving a trail of destruction in Italy following 45C heatwaves. In one of several bizarre weather events to sweep the continent in recent days, spooked tourists ran for cover from uprooted beach umbrellas during a violent storm in Italy.
