President Zelensky has praised Ukrainian courage during his Independence Day address. Speaking in Kyiv's central Maidan Square he said their partners recognised Ukraine as a 'strong ally' in Europe. A minute's silence was held in the capital attended by Canadian PM Mark Carney.
