Ex England Red Roses rugby star Heather Fisher says rival fans 'threw wigs at me'

A former England rugby star says she faced wigs being thrown at her from the side of the pitch because she has no hair during her playing career - as well as people questioning her gender. Heather Fisher, 41, who retired from the game four years ago, says that there needs to be more awareness on women with alopecia, saying 'it's not all cancer, and it's not all fashion.' The retired Red Roses flanker, who made appearances for both England and Team GB, told BBC Sport this week that her hair loss left her confidence so low, she couldn't look at herself.
