Big John blasts 'upsetting' racist graffiti on Chinese takeaway

Takeaway-munching social media star Big John has become an unlikely figurehead in the discussions over the hanging of England flags in towns across the country after he blasted 'upsetting' graffiti painted on a Chinese takeaway. The kung po-loving Instagrammer, real name John Fisher, has been praised for what fans said was a nuanced opinion on the debate after he hit out at thugs who vandalised a takeaway with racist graffiti. Slogans including 'Go Home' and 'England' were painted on Dragon House in York by a trio of thugs who fled on bikes. The hatemongers also painted over the word 'Chinese' on its sign, and daubed it with St George's Crosses - at a time when others are painting the flag on roundabouts and hanging flags from lampposts.
