Self-styled African 'tribe' evicted from private woodland in Jedburgh

The full force of the law was expected to be on show as police and sheriff officers evicted them from the private land where they had set up camp. However, as it turned out, the self-styled African tribe living in woodland in Jedburgh only had to move 30 yards away after authorities demanded they leave. The development is the latest twist in the bizarre story of the group, which consists of leader Kofi Offeh, 36, the self-proclaimed King Atehene, his wife Jean Gasho, 43, who calls herself Queen Nandi, and their 'handmaiden' Kaura Taylor, who calls herself Asnat.
