Tourists stranded at Machu Picchu as transportation protests persist

Tourists were temporarily stranded at Machu Picchu as residents of the area protested a recent change in transportation. Local bus company Consettur recently lost its place as the main bus company that takes tourists back and forth from the historic site. Another bus company was given the rights to shuttle tourists, and protests have persisted since.
