This Morning fans were left baffled by Wednesday's 'Pup Idol' segment that saw aspiring pooches 'sing' and play the piano in a bizarre doggy competition. Hosts Ben Shephard, 50, and Cat Deeley, 48, were joined in the studio by a range of talented canines hoping to be crowned Pup Idol winners. Ben introduced the grand finale of the search for 'the doggy soap star we've all been waiting for.' And the skills on display were many, with one pup playing the piano, another singing, one bouncing through an obstacle course and a fourth performing to Frozen anthem Let It Go. Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas swapped sequins for doggy leads as she formed one third of the stern judging panel.
