Prince Philip's beloved black cab let him drive around London unnoticed

Prince Philip's had his own London cab painted in Edinburgh green. The green 'black cab' was also modified so that it had a passenger seat next to the driver, a feature that is not the standard in the bog-standard Hackney Carriage. The cab use to whip around London, allowing the late Prince to travel inconspicuously around the streets of London.
