Displaced Palestinians move towards northern Gaza as ceasefire goes into effect

Thousands of displaced Palestinians started their return to their native areas as the ceasefire goes into effect. The truce signed between Hamas and Israel promoted by Donald Trump put a stop to more than two years of war in the Strip, with many areas left devastated.Despite the widespread celebrations that greeted news of the ceasefire, many Palestinians were keenly aware that little remained of the lives they knew before the war.
