DHL freight plane strikes ground with tail in Heathrow causing travel chaos

Heathrow Airport was hit by travel chaos after a 170mph tail strike by a freight plane. A DHL Airbus A300 returned to the major UK hub from Leipzig, Germany at 5.13pm on October 12. The cargo aircraft landed on the northern runway and was travelling at speeds of 170mph when the tail of the plane caught the ground, The Independent reports.
