A visit to an operational solar plant in Segovia, Spain as Apple announces a major new investment in wind and solar farms across Europe to help cut its carbon footprint.The tech giant is supporting several large-scale solar and wind farms currently in development in Greece, Italy, Latvia and Poland, building on its first investment in the solar farm outside the Spanish city of Segovia, which started operating earlier this year.Apple says its involvement has helped to unlock $600 million in financing for the projects, which together will add 650 megawatts of renewable energy capacity to electrical grids in the coming years.The company says the amount of clean power they generate will go towards its goal of matching 100% of the electricity used by customers in Europe to power or charge their devices by 2030.
