Liam Payne 's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has paid tribute to the One Direction star on Instagram on the one year anniversary of his death. The singer died aged 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina in October 2024, and a subsequent toxicology report revealed alcohol , cocaine and a prescription antidepressant in his system.
