Car ploughs into vehicle in crash before duo flee scene leaving friend to die

Police have released shocking footage showing the moment two cars collided in a horror fatal crash - before two people fled the wreckage leaving their friend to die.Emergency services rushed to the scene on Stratford Road in Sparkhill, Birmingham , following the horrific smash at just before 11.50pm on August 1 this year.Disturbing CCTV captured the moment of impact as a black Audi ploughed head-on into a blue Vauxhall Meriva as it attempted to turn into Ladypool Road.A 22-year-old man who was a passenger in the Vauxhall Meriva was taken to hospital but sadly died as a result of his injuries. Four other people were seriously hurt.West Midlands Police are now trying to trace the driver of the Meriva and another passenger who callously fled the scene leaving behind their pal.
