'Violent' thief Teddy Kelt is arrested in his garden after terrifying robbery spree across London

A 'prolific and violent' thief who robbed teenagers across London 's transport network and kidnapped one of his victims has been jailed for more than ten years. Teddy Kelt, 20, from Romford, Essex, robbed 13 people in ten days and attempted to rob a further five, threatening his victims with a machete and a hunting knife. Inner London Crown Court heard that Kelt had 'repeatedly put the fear of death' in these boys, telling one, 'You are lucky I don't have my Rambo knife today, only the flip knife', while pointing the blade at his chest. Terrorising his victims on Tubes, buses and platforms, Kelt grabbed at least nine phones, two iPads and Apple Air Max headphones between November 29 and December 8 last year. Kelt is already serving a three-year nine-month prison sentence after he was convicted in April of three of the robberies, two of the attempted robberies, two counts of possessing Class C drugs and possessing acid in a public place.
