Good Morning Britain star who sparked outrage for failing to wear a poppy FINALLY caves and dons badge
A Good Morning Britain star who sparked outrage last week for failing to wear a poppy on the ITV show left viewers delighted when he finally opted to wear one - but his decision was overshadowed by a scathing on-screen swipe. Kevin Maguire joined Susanna Reid and Ed Balls last Tuesday and whileΒ Susanna, 54, Ed, 58, and the Daily Mail's Andrew Pierce had all pinned poppies to their outfit, Kevin, 65, was shown without one. It sparked outrage with viewers of the show, who hit out it was 'disgraceful' and 'disrespectful' that he'd opted not to wear one in the days running up to Remembrance Sunday on November 9, and Remembrance Day on November 11. The Poppy Appeal, which launched on October 23 this year, has seen the majority of presenters appearing on television to wear poppies as a mark of respect. Reappearing alongside hosts Susanna and Richard Madeley on the show on Monday, Kevin was finally seen wearing a poppy - leaving ITV viewers divided.
