Xpeng's inventors forced to cut open their humanoid robot on stage
A new humanoid robot has pushed the boundaries of the uncanny valley with its smooth, humanlike movements. Xpeng, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, unveiled its latest creation, dubbed IRON. However, IRON appeared so eerily lifelike that its inventors were forced to cut it open on stage to prove there wasn't a person hiding inside. Fortunately for the assembled crowd, the dramatic demonstration revealed nothing more than a sophisticated human-like spine, articulated joints, and synthetic muscles.
