Self driving cars take over the streets of LA as new way to get around

Self-driving cars are now ubiquitous on the streets of Los Angeles and are fundamentally changing the way American cities get around. The biggest player in the self-driving industry here is Waymo, the dial-a-ride service run by Alphabet - the Silicon Valley behemoth that owns Google. And having taken over LA, San Francisco and Phoenix, Arizona, Alphabet announced plans to introduce robotaxis on the streets of London early 2026.
